Canadian Billiards & Snooker Association

About the CBSA

The CBSA is the governing body of Cue Sports for Canada, recognized by Sport Canada. CBSA is also a member of the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC). Hopefully Cue Sports will eventually be included at the Olympic Games.

The CBSA is affiliated with the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA), through the WPA’s North American affiliate, the Billiard Congress of America (BCA). With these affiliations, it grants Canada the opportunity to be represented at all World Pool Championships, and most other major International pool events. The CBSA also holds an affiliation with the International Billiards & Snooker Federation (IBSF), and sends representatives to the World Amateur Snooker Championships each year. In the near future, CBSA also hopes to be able to send representatives to the IBSF’s World Billiards Championship.

The CBSA consists of the Provinces of Canada, and is governed by six individuals, who are elected by delegates of the Provincial Associations.
